Oran Bumroongchart is a Los Angeles based Set & Costume Designer.

His interest in design stems from an obsession with finding the sparks of joy that make a story worth telling.  His most successful design collaborations are the result of a mutual trust in the design process:  exploration, sharing, questioning, and editing.

Oran has taught Costume Design at the University of California, Santa Barbara. His design work appears mainly in Dance & Theater and usually involves costumes with the occasional set thrown in. 

MFA in Design for Stage and Film from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts.

BA in Architecture from the University of California at Berkeley.

He lives in Pasadena, California with his two imaginary dogs, Charlie & Otis.
